The Department of Accident and Emergency at AVH offers comprehensive emergency services. It is led by a team of consultants from various specialties, including orthopaedic and trauma surgeons, intensivists, anaesthetists, general surgeons, obstetricians, paediatricians, and pulmonologists. These experts are dedicated to the resuscitation and stabilisation of patients in acute and critical conditions. The department’s primary aim is to provide timely, standardised care, reducing both mortality and morbidity.

The department is fully equipped to manage a wide range of emergencies, including trauma, heart attacks, strokes, polytrauma, poisoning, respiratory failure, acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), and multi-organ failure. In addition, it is capable of handling mass casualty incidents and disasters. A fully equipped ACLS ambulance with state-of-the-art ventilator support is available 24/7. Our dedicated retrieval team, composed of doctors, nurses, and technicians, accompanies patients requiring ICU support during transfers to and from other hospitals.
